The Colour Edit.

Switch on to festive holiday mode with Ben Sherman’s capsule collection x Greenhouse Interiors, featuring GI's contemporary Australian artist - Xander Holliday.
It's no secret that colour is my passion. For me, colour is all about the emotion it evokes and I have learned to tune into the subtleties of it - especially within the home. Oscar Wilde summed it up when he stated, “Mere colour can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways." Here are some ways to ensure you continue to celebrate colour within your own four walls!
Interiors wizard Julia Green has embarked on what is potentially her most ambitious endeavour yet – a heritage warehouse in Geelong, turned interiors concept space / wonderland!
Historically, blue has been associated with loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, faith and truth. With such solid values behind it, people have clearly leaned towards blue as a reliable colour, and a hue to be trusted and respected.
Nearly all of nature’s cues with green are positive – think freshly cut grass; the deep green of the vast ocean, even on a dark stormy day; think of the most beautiful hot house that is bursting with ferns; think new beginnings and feel the force of lifeblood all derived from the colour green.
Whilst it is known as a ‘hot’ colour, it is not as aggressive as red. Orange is fresh, optimistic and exudes happiness. Orange is encouraging, extroverted and doesn’t mind showing off! Orange is energetic but can be paired back a little when combined with cooler hues, such as lilac – in fact, that combination sits as one of my all-time favourite colour pairings.
