Shellie Christian works out of her studio located in Fountaindale on the Central Coast of NSW. Creating a collection of ceramics sculptural vesssels that would capture the magic and wonder of the natural world. She works with various Stoneware Clay, Buff Raku Trachyte, Stoneware 33, Toast, shaping it into delicate forms imbuing them with a unique character and personality. Each one had its own quirks and personality, making them truly one-of-a-kind.
Once her vessels are formed, Shellie sets to work painting them with intricate designs inspired by the natural world. Using earthy tones of greens, pink and browns, evoking the australian bush that surrounds her studio.
