This sculpture is a one off piece of collectable art. It is made of reinforced gumnuts set into a banksia pod which is in turn set in a recycled base creating a collective Australian Native totem.
This piece reflects the artist's concern about climate change and the future threat to our native species. It is a play with re-creating nature and an attempt to enshrine and capture these unique and precious forms.
Claerwen's sculptures reflect feminine qualities and have names. This brightly coloured diva is called Mariah.
