‘Rodgers Sundowners On Mt Alexander'
Rodger considered himself a refined man of the bush — the kind who wore hiking boots with his best linen shirt and packed a cheese board in his backpack next to the mozzie spray. One crisp Saturday, he decided to climb Mount Alexander for a solo sunset “sundowners session,” a term he’d picked up from an old episode of Getaway and clung to like it made him worldly.
He set up on a rocky outcrop with a panoramic view and laid out his goods: a lukewarm thermos of gin and tonic, some slightly sweaty brie, and a packet of Jatz he’d accidentally sat on. With a flourish, he raised his drink to the setting sun.
