Painting ‘Joy’ brought nothing but big smiles, hence the name. Using gold leaf and hot neon pink, I wanted to bring one of my favorite bold color palettes to life on a large canvas. Inspired by the energy of spring, everything feels lighter, brighter, and full of possibility, a spring thing…right! This is a bold statement piece, the neon is so vibrant it literally glows, radiating optimism and joy. I loved seeing my daffodils bloom in my garden, so I added subtle hints of that vibrant neon yellow. The paint is thick and textured, which I’ve tried to capture as best as possible through the photography.
