This painting is about remembering days of warmth, finding a patch of wildflowers in the bush and laying amongst them to look up at the cloud formations. It’s about allowing yourself to momentarily be free of all that worries you, and letting your mind wonder.
There is a simplicity and whimsical feel to this painting. While on first glance she might appear uncomplicated, on a closer inspection though, she is quite involved and is comprised completely of dot-work.
