While we as people are resilient, life itself is incredibly fragile and fleeting.
The three circles through the centre represent the past, present and future. On closer inspection of the lace-like details, hundreds of U-shapes become evident. These U shapes are a contemporary take on the traditional symbol for a person. They are all differing in size and shape, just as we are all different, and deliberately lace-like to embody the fragility of our being.
The mountains and stars reference our connection to Earth and how her fragility can directly impact on our own survival.
