FRAMED

Framed artwork refers to an art piece that has been professionally enclosed in a timber frame, such as an oak timber shadow box frame. This style of frame adds depth by spacing the artwork slightly away from the edge of the stretched canvas or mounted paper with glass, creating a clean, modern look while protecting the piece. The timber frame not only enhances the natural beauty of the artwork but also adds a refined, gallery-style finish—ready to hang and enjoy.

UNFRAMED

An unframed painting refers to an artwork that has been professionally stretched over a timber stretcher bar, without an external decorative frame. While it doesn’t have a traditional outer frame, the canvas is tightly mounted and ready to hang as is, offering a clean, modern presentation that highlights the edges of the artwork. This style is popular for its minimalist, gallery-style look.

READY TO HANG

A ready to hang artwork is fully prepared for immediate display. For canvas pieces, this means the artwork is professionally stretched over a timber stretcher bar and does not include an outer timber frame, creating a clean and taut surface. It also comes fitted with secure hanging hardware—such as a wire, D-rings, or hooks—so you can hang it straight on the wall, right out of the box. 

UNFRAMED & ROLLED IN TUBE

This means the original painting is not framed and has been carefully rolled inside a tube with protective layers for safe transportation. This is common for oversees shipments to save on freight costs. Once the customer receives the tube, the artwork should then be opened by a professional framer as soon as possible, to avoid any potential damage. Canvas and Paper artworks are fragile and must be treated with professional care.

‘Pescatarian’ was inspired by the Egyptian goddess, Bastet, who is depicted as a cat head on a female body. Bastet was fierce and protected the home from evil spirit. She was a symbol of femininity, fertility and joy.

Sizes:

This print is available in three different sizes (W x H):

  • 35 x 50 cm
  • 50 x 70 cm
  • 60 x 85 cm

Limited to 30 per size and is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

All prints are made to order on either 360gsm canvas or 310gsm paper.

Unframed canvas or paper artworks are shipped rolled in a heavy-duty tube. Canvas prints ordered will be supplied with additional 5cm border to allow for wrapping around stretcher bars. Paper prints will also be supplied with an additional 5cm border.

A giclée fine art print is a high-quality reproduction of an original artwork, created using professional inkjet printers that spray (“giclée” comes from the French word gicler, meaning “to spray or squirt”) extremely fine droplets of pigment-based ink onto archival paper or canvas.
