Adele Bevacqua is a Brisbane-based Australian artist who creates textured abstract paintings inspired by colour, movement, and emotion. Working intuitively, she builds layered surfaces that allow each piece to unfold over time, inviting a sense of pause and connection. Her work was recognised nationally when she was named a finalist in the National Contemporary Art Prize in 2024.
At the heart of Adele’s practice is a love of imperfection and honesty. She is drawn to the beauty found in process - the marks, layers, and moments that can’t be planned. In a culture that often values polish over feeling, her paintings celebrate the human side of making: expressive, imperfect, and deeply felt.
