Using a contemporary representation of the tradition of Songlines used in culture to map land ,I use lyrics from music to evoke memory.
This series is a story of travelling on country,the places we go andthe memories we make and bring home. Every where we go we leave a piece of ourselves and return with a piece of the places we have been.
Aboriginal peoples have walked this country for thousands of years, leaving tracks which are both tangible and spiritual.
I challenge the idea of ' Past' as something no longer existing. I believe it remains,in our memory and the land.In what we see and what we cannot.
