This was the first in the ‘Scallop’ series that artist, Tory Burke painted. She started experimenting with the placement of geometric layers of lux tonal greens, warm almost brown in hue contrasting with cool translucent greens.
The layers of oil on the linen are peaceful and beautiful. The white scalloping gives the artwork a contrasting element and freshness to the work.
