'Feathered Folk' | Teneille Grace Solo Exhibition

Feathered Folk is a heartfelt collection by artist Teneille Grace, born from quiet moments of presence during a difficult chapter in her life. What began as simple bird watching during cancer treatment, became a grounding ritual - an invitation to pause, observe, and reconnect. Over time, the birds grew into gentle companions in her studio, each one painted with its own spirit and personality. Some were playful and bold, others reflective and soulful. Together, they reflect the beauty of the everyday, the comfort of quiet connection, and the tender messages of hope that show up when you’re paying attention.

Feathered Folk took flight from the most unexpected place — quiet afternoons of bird watching during a tough time in artist Teneille Grace’s life. What started as a small act of slowing down became a daily ritual of noticing — the flit of a wing, the flash of colour, the tiny personalities hiding in the treetops.

Before long, those birds began keeping her company in the studio — bold, cheeky, soulful, and everything in between.
