New Artist Alert | Sally Kuylaars Forrester | Mark Of Sunday
Sally Kuylaars Forrester is an artist working across sculpture, fine art, and objects. With formal training in glassblowing and design, she creates works that explore the interplay of shape, light, and texture through bio-resin. Sally’s practice often re-works original blown-glass or vintage glass pieces, using traditional mould-making techniques to produce limited-edition runs of playful, colourful designs.

Drawing inspiration from the tactile nature of materials and the joy of imperfection, her work embraces subtle variations and organic forms, celebrating the handmade process. Under her brandMark of Sunday, she produces distinctive homewares and objects for design-conscious collectors who value sustainability, craftsmanship, and story. Sally lives and works in Apollo Bay, on the rugged Victorian coastline, where the natural environment is a constant source of inspiration for her creative process.

My go-to is a big tray of slow-roasted vegetables with garlic, rosemary, feta, olive oil, and some form of protein; colourful, nourishing, and different every time depending on what’s in season. Perfect as leftovers too.

FAVE PIECES?
The Double Shot Tall Vase. I made it from the vase that started this range and way of working; it's essentially a mold of two Whiskey Medium Vases stacked tall (hence the name). It was super tricky to make, but the extra elevation is perfect for tall stems. It has a real presence and an architectural feel. I also love the original Whiskey Medium Vase as it's the foundation of the collection.
