Aleisha is a self-taught artist that works with a range of media including plaster and natural paints to create textural works, in a slightly subdued and earthy palette. With a creative background in jewellery making, Aleisha often embellishes her works with pieces of brass and metal that she hand sculpts, blurring the lines between painting and sculpture. In both creative outlets, she explores an interest in weathered objects and organic textures, inspired by dreams of travels afar, through to her tropical surrounds and sentiments of family life living on the Capricorn Coast.
