Tania Lucas lives and works in Melbourne, on traditional lands of the Wurundjeri-William Clan. Her love affair with painting began as a child and has continued throughout her life. Her work brings together realism combined with free creative expression. A passionate wildlife photographer you can find her wandering her local bushlands photographing wild birds to paint. Tania paints nature with a loving dedication to accuracy, then combines it with bold shapes and relaxed, layered brush strokes. She adores colour embracing it with openness and joy. A common goal in every painting, is to squeeze in as many gorgeous colours as possible. As a self-taught artist exploration is a key component in her painting and creative journey.
