Sarah Murray is a self taught ceramic artist living and working on Yuin Country ( NSW Far South Coast). She uses clay and the ceramic surface to explore to explore the concepts of domesticity, home and memory by creating the everyday objects that we interact with on a daily basis. She is of the firm opinion that domestic ware is not just utilitarian but has the power to elevate our daily land surroundings.
Sarah has been a full time practicing studio potter for over 10 years. Her work has been featured on The Design Files and published in both Belle and Frankie Magazines. She has exhibited both locally and interstate and has done commission work for the National Gallery of Australia.
