Ngargan II (Dawn II) is an original piece by contemporary Aboriginal artist, Lou Martin.
Ngargan is the Wiradjuri name for dawn. The image is mirror-reversed to reflect the transition from night to day. One half is coloured predominantly in pinks to reflect the sunset, while the second half is blue-based to represent the sky coming into the new day. The circle in the middle represents both the moon and the sun, centred for the passage of time passing, transforming night into the day.
