Cypress Lovers is a ballpoint pen drawing that features detailed and repetitive mark-making. I explore the metaphorical value of the cypress tree as a symbol of spirituality and mortality. I imbue the tress with human sentiment so that the cypress tree series is an exploration of human nature. The drawing process for this sized work takes roughly 50 hours.
