This is the first painting of a two-part series (availale individually) about being away from, and longing to set foot on home soil. The colour palette is warm and reflects the earthy tones of Wiradjuri country; the golden-pink sunsets, the trees and wildflowers, the fauna, the rivers, and the warmth and security only a hug from family can give.
