In my work I am interested in the connection between memory and the spaces we occupy. Music evokes emotional responses that can transport us to a time and place of our past.

Exploring the connection between landscape and memory and more specifically the remnants and traces left in environments either in a physical form or as emotion.

Waygiwinya (Wiradjuri) meaning round trip

Lyrics from

Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes

I've Had The Time Of My Life

Using a contemporary representation of the tradition of Songlines used in culture to map land ,I use lyrics from music to evoke memory.

This series is a story of travelling on country, the places we go andthe memories we make and bring home. Every where we go we leave a piece of ourselves and return with a piece of the places we have been.

Aboriginal peoples have walked this country for thousands of years, leaving tracks which are both tangible and spiritual.

I challenge the idea of ' Past' as something no longer existing. I believe it remains,in our memory and the land.In what we see and what we cannot.
