Marissa Lico is an Australian artist living in the Central West, NSW. She is the creative behind ‘The Art Edit’, her small business of art making pursuits. During her studies at the ANU, Marissa developed an affinity for human gestures and familiarity and has since exhibited in solo and group shows in Australia and the UK. Marissa Lico connects in every sense to her Italian heritage, particularly family gatherings which centre around food and associated traditions. Through painting Marissa traverses authentic Italian cuisine experiences from her childhood, home cooking and trips throughout Italy, inviting the viewer to resonate with emotion and reminiscence.
