Kelaoke

Kelly Chapman is a Sydney based fibre artist who creates unique wall hangings. Influenced by nature, art and the fibres themselves, Kelly’s creative work explores the playful relationships between colour, shape and balance. Experimental practice in basketry, jewellery making, and collage often spark ideas for her fibre pieces, which then take on a life of their own once they are interwoven with rare and vintage fibres, cotton, raffia and mixed media components.

Kelly currently teaches creative arts to students with disabilities; she has delivered jewellery-making and weaving workshops in Sydney and Melbourne and writes creative tutorials for magazines.
