Kathryn lives in Nelson New Zealand with her husband where they raised their two sons. Bought up by an artistic father she was encouraged to explore her natural creative abilities.

As a self taught artist she draws her inspiration from travel, the Pacific landscape an objects, using acrylics and inks she builds layers of colour and texture giving the viewer a feel of depth 

Working from her Mediterranean style home and studio ,her environment is also a constant inspiration from the curves of the plaster walls , patina on  copper pots to the subtle ageing of lime washed walls.

Art can change the feeling of a room it gives it soul and personality, I feel fortunate to be able to create these works
