Lauren Freestone is a Wiradjuri artist based in Newcastle NSW. Growing up surrounded by her father’s artwork she naturally followed in his footsteps.

Her work is heavily inspired by the natural world as well as her families history and connection with parts of Wiradjuri Country and Gumbaynggirr Country where she was born and raised. Using a calming, earthy palate Lauren experiments with different textures and detail creating calming visual landscapes and interpretations of her surroundings.
